I would just like to formally acknowledge the formula for steadying oneself (myself) at the edge of sanity, of patience, for tolerating Manhattan’s humans and rain last night (12 March 2010, 10:00 pm): Hank Williams, Hot Mulled Wine and Grilled Cheese with Tomato at Mud Coffee.

Cheap, casual, comfortable, and friendly. The sort of place perfect for idle late Sunday afternoons. A pretty simple menu but everything was delicious.

Yogurt from Pinkberry. Forgot for the second time in an hour to take a ‘before’ photo. Chocolate with white chocolate shavings and raspberries. Quite nice.

Mud: Great or Greatest?

307 East 9th Street, Manhattan, New York

Poorman’s Mud Breakfast: Coffee, Toast, Jam. Hoping to balance the previous night’s Mud Feast of Maple Lattes, Mango Quesadillas, and and a mound of Guacamole comparable to the cokemountain in Scarface.

Conclusion: Greatest!

Dining halls open. Grand streams of baked ziti. Though honestly, New York cuisine? I’m sorry, dear reader.
